Ahhh! That was awkward. I’m pretty bad at introductions and not great at talking about myself in general. Let me try again.

My name is Fiza Shaikh and I’m obsessed with travelling. It all started one day, I was scrolling through YouTube and found a vlogger duo, Kara and Nate. The fact that they captured every moment of their travel and shared it with people on the other side of screen, made me want to do the same. Every video of theirs made me live a virtual trip and made me want to experience a real one.

I remember Alex’s dialogue in A Clockwork Orange :

“Oh bliss! Bliss and heaven! Oh, it was gorgeousness and gorgeousity made flesh. It was like a bird of rarest-spun heaven metal or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship, gravity all nonsense now. As I slooshied, I knew such lovely picture! “

That’s how ecstatic I feel while traveling. It might be clichéd but I’m most alive when I’m traveling, seeing a place for the first time or returning to a favorite one. The thrill of finding that hidden alley, secluded beach or ruins which cannot be found in any travel guide is second to none. Traveling forces me to be adventurous, live life to the fullest, to make the most of this precious gift and use the time I have to discover new things and meet new people.
